When Meredith walked down the aisle on her wedding day, she thought she knew everything about her soon-to-be husband. Their courtship had been nothing short of a dream come true.
“I felt like I had won some kind of mating lottery,” she chuckles. Joel had a toned, sculpted body, combined with the sweet charm of a boy next door and a poet’s soul, Meredith felt like the luckiest woman alive.
“We were fortunate enough to share a lot of the same interests, which is something I thought I’d never find.” Something equally as rare was Joel’s willingness to bare his feelings – seemingly completely – to his new mate. Meredith figured she knew every single detail about the man she married, until she came home on her lunch hour one afternoon.
Meredith stepped into her living room to find her soul mate vacuuming the carpet – in total drag.
“I was in complete shock,” says Meredith. “I felt like I was going to drop dead on the spot.” Stunned, Meredith realised it was not the first time Joel had done this.
